01Choose 50 MB when quality matters more
Compared with very small targets, 50 MB can keep a healthier bitrate for longer clips and higher resolutions. It is often a better starting point when you want meaningful size reduction without pushing the video into extreme compression.
02Large source files can still shrink dramatically
Phone and camera videos may use high recording bitrates intended for editing or archival quality. A carefully chosen 50 MB output can be much easier to share while remaining visually strong for normal viewing.
03Do not re-encode a file that already fits
If the original is already close to 50 MB, FitMyVideo tells you rather than encouraging an unnecessary re-encode. Recompressing a file that already fits can lose quality without solving a real problem.
04Private browser processing
The selected video is processed locally in the supported browser workflow, so FitMyVideo does not need a cloud upload step or a server-side media library.
