Privacy at FitMyVideo

FitMyVideo is designed so supported video compression happens in your browser. This policy explains what the website does and does not collect.

Video files

When you choose a supported video for browser processing, the file is read and encoded locally on your device. FitMyVideo does not intentionally upload, store or create a server-side library of those video files.

Technical and analytics data

If you allow analytics cookies, FitMyVideo may use Google Analytics 4 to understand page views and product events such as selecting a file, starting compression, completing compression, choosing a target size or downloading a result. The implementation is designed not to send video filenames, thumbnails or the video contents to analytics.

Advertising

FitMyVideo may display advertising in the future. Advertising tags are disabled in the initial configuration and can be activated after the site is approved by the relevant advertising provider. Advertising is disabled by default. Before AdSense is enabled, the site operator should configure any provider-required certified consent platform; FitMyVideo's built-in preferences panel is not a Google-certified advertising CMP.

Cookies and local storage

The website uses local storage to remember your privacy choice. Optional analytics or advertising services may use cookies or similar technologies when you consent to them and those services are enabled.

Third-party services

Optional measurement and advertising may involve Google services. Their handling of data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. External links on FitMyVideo take you to third-party websites with their own policies.

Data retention

FitMyVideo does not operate a server-side media library for the browser compressor. Analytics providers, if enabled with consent, may retain measurement data according to the settings configured in those services.

Your choices

You can reject optional cookies when prompted and reopen privacy preferences from the Cookies page. You may also use browser settings to clear local storage and cookies.
